Thank you, that was the puzzle piece I was missing. I was indeed
running on 10.6.1. I deployed over to my other box running 10.5.8 and
set up an identical test. No problems whatsoever.
So I'll stop banging my head against the wall and sit back and wait
for the bugfix.
