Other Linker Flag all_load removes symbols in Instruments?

  • Subject: Other Linker Flag all_load removes symbols in Instruments?

Hello,

I have been using Instruments successfully thus far, but I believe a recent change I made to Other Link Flags is causing the symbol information to disappear when running Leaks and CPU Sampler. I am using a 3rd party library on the iPhone that requires the -all_load flag to be turned on. My testing indicates that activating this flag, which is necessary in order for the application to compile and run, also has the side effect of removing the symbol information that Instruments displays. I am indeed building in Debug mode. Note that I also have the -ObjC linker flag set, but that doesn't seem to be the source of the problem.

I was hoping someone out there has ideas. I can't seem to find anything on apple.com/dev or google.

Platform: iPhone SDK 3.1.2, Simulator

Thank You,
Eric
