Core Data Managed Object with Custom Data Caches

I have custom data caches associated with a managed object.

The documentation states didTurnIntoFault "method may be used to clear out custom data caches". So far so good.

I was creating custom data caches in awakeFromFetch (or awakeFromInsert) until I realized that awakeFromFetch does not participate in undo. The documentation confirms that "change processing is explicitly disabled around this method".

So Apple provides a way to remove custom data caches associated with a managed object but no way to create them.

Any thoughts on this?

Richard
