How does launchAppWithBundleIdentifier work?

  • Subject: How does launchAppWithBundleIdentifier work?

Specifically, I note that the documentation for the fourth parameter, the launch identifier, reads:

"On input, a pointer to a number object variable. On return, the variable contains a number object with a unique identifier for the launch attempt. You can use this value to distinguish individual launch requests."

How? Or when? What are the circumstances under which I can use that NSNumber?

Greg
