By the way, it's only deprecated if you want to write 10.6-only apps. If you want to remain 10.5-compatible, you can't use any of the cool block-based APIs, so it's fine to keep using the old ones.


That's why it's not formally deprecated yet ... though it probably will become so when 10.7 ships.
