@property (retain) - Do I need to release in dealloc?

  • Subject: @property (retain) - Do I need to release in dealloc?

Hi,

As I understand it, @property (retain) synthesizes something like this:

- (void)setMyProp:(NSString*)value
{
  [value retain];
  [_myProp release];
  _myProp = value;
}

It is not however clear, and I haven't found it in the guide, whether
it's still my responsibility to call [_myProp release] in
-(void)dealloc    ?

Thanks.
