Hello,

The most reliable way is to ask the menu for its font, via the - [NSMenu
font] method.

Thanks, but this method was introduced in Mac OS X 10.6

Is there any solution which works in 10.4?

For OSes prior to SnowLeopard, it's fine to hard code 14. We certainly aren't going to do a Tiger update that changes the menu size :)
