overwriting own bundle

  • Subject: overwriting own bundle

Hello,
Is it acceptable for an application to overwrite its own bundle, say as part of an update? Assuming of course that it can get any necessary elevated privileges? Or should I spawn a task that waits for the app to quit and then overwrite it?

Thanks,
  Philip
