Are you talking about having 2 array controllers -- an Animal array controller and a Fish array controller? If not, it's not clear what you mean by the words "select", "corresponding", "binding" and "selection". :)

The answer is probably "no". The entity inheritance mechanism isn't really designed for this purpose. If you want to (actually or in effect) apply a filter to an array controller, you'll need an actual "animalType" property that you can test._______________________________________________
