Wow! Just installed OPENSTEP ENTERPRISE 4.2

I had a shrinkwraped OPENSTEP Enterprise 4.2 CD from March 1997 in my file cabinet, so I just installed it on a crap 1.83GHz Core 2 (not-duo) running Windows XP SP3.

- OPENSTEP Enterprise 4.2 installes from CD in less than 1 minute (not counting the neccessary reboot that follows)

It is amazing how fast 13 year old software installs by today's standards.

I have already built about huge amounts of code.  Some is left over from the OPENSTEP days, but some is recent Mac OS X software.  It is nice to be reminded how good stuff was 13 years ago.  Alternately, it is sad how little Cocoa development has improved in 13 years.
