i'm going to do a popup menu
i run thru all the items and call

[myMenuItem setAction:@selector(myFunction:)];

upon first run, my "myFunction" never gets called with the result of the menu item pick.

but then, it works 100% of the time *after* i switch out then back into my app

whaaa?? does anyone have an idea about this?
