Hi Tobias,
The equivalent of setDropRow:dropOperation for the IKimageBrowserView is
- (void) setDropIndex:(NSInteger)index dropOperation:(IKImageBrowserDropOperation)operation;
available on 10.6

In my case I am dragging a file to the view which is automatically sorted case insensitive which means the user isn't able to re-arrange objects in it which is fine. It's more like a graphical confusion since the view always highlights an index to be dropped on but this isn't the case since it's automatically rearranging itself so what's required is a highlight of the entire view, not an index.

That's exactly what I am looking for. If there's a way to disable the entire blue selection rectangle, I'd be fine with it too, it's just that I didn't find any way yet and all demos on the net are letting the user sort the view.
