Today I posted updates to the PFiddlesoft Frameworks at <http://pfiddlesoft.com/frameworks/>. PFiddlesoft distributes applications and utilities relating to accessibility that were formerly distributed by PreFab Software, Inc.
PFAssistive Framework 3.1.0 wraps Apple's Accessibility API, and PFEventTaps Framework 1.3.0 wraps Apple's Quartz Event Taps API. Both are Cocoa frameworks for writing assistive applications on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and 10.6 Snow Leopard. They include complete reference documentation, including an update to my 35-page Assistive Application Programming Guide.
With these updates, both frameworks can now be embedded in an application package or installed as shared frameworks. They also add several initializers and factory methods to create new UI element objects, observer objects, and event tap objects based on the target application's full path, file URL, or bundle identifier.
