NSFetchedResultsController variant?

Does anyone know if someone's written a variant of the
NSFetchedResultsController class for views other than UITableView?  I had to
write my own view for displaying sets of data and need something that serves
the same purpose, but my own view.  I'd obviously be happy to modify my view
such that it works with whatever protocols are required of it.

I figured I'd ask before writing my own just in case as I've seen other
really great 3rd party libraries like RegexKitLite and SFHFKeychainUtils.
