Change size of NSMenuItem (offset from the top of status menu)

Hi,

I create a custom view as a first menu item in status menu, which is being highlighted since i create it transparent, but there is a small offset from the top of the menu and my custom view when is highlighted doesn't look attached to the title. The question is whether there is a way to cancel this offset? I couldn't find the relevant API.

Thanks
