Hit testing on NSTextField with custom cells

  • Subject: Hit testing on NSTextField with custom cells

I've created a subclass of NSTextFieldCell that just adds the
    -hitTestForEvent:inRect:ofView:
method. If I substitute my subclass in an NSTableView for the standard NSTextFieldCells, I do get this callback when a table element is clicked.

But if I substitute my subclass in for an NSTextField's NSTextFieldCell, I never get the hit. How can I get this to work?
