Hi,

I've had similar problems in the past. I usually just filter out the files you mentioned, e.g. ignore them. There are also AppleScript etc. that will delete them for you, do a google and you are bound to find them. Bottom line: it's not worth trying to treat them as normal files.

Ideally you should, because it contains some user data (like the view settings, I think). But as you've discovered, the way the Finder touches these files all the time makes it very awkward to sync them, so I think people usually just ignore them.
