stringWithContentsOfURL: is deprecated. I suggest using stringWithContentsOfURL:encoding:error: or stringWithContentsOfURL:usedEncoding:error: and logging the error or displaying it with +alertWithError: so those users can tell you the exact reason for failure. It might help to print the URL being passed so you are absolutely sure it's the URL you think it is.
