updating a table without interrupting user editing

  • Subject: updating a table without interrupting user editing

Suppose a user is editing a cell in a table, and I would like to call reloadData in order to reflect updates that have arrived asynchronously. What would I need to do in order to preserve the user's editing state, including current selected cell and its text selection? (This would need to work 10.4 through 10.6.)
