iOS camera image resolution selection

  • Subject: iOS camera image resolution selection

When retrieving an image from the iPad's rear camera, I remember there being an API that would allow you to select from a number of resolutions, ranging from thumbnail up to native. Where would I find this information? I'm trying to find out, among other things, if the iPad can return a 640x480 image from the back camera...
Thanks
