There are. The MacBook and original MacBook Air displays are 1280 pixels wide.

And, of course, you can change the system resolution, or hook your own
monitor up to your Mac. I believe the minimum supported resolution for
desktop use is 1024x768.

But really, a 1300pt-wide window is kinda nuts. It sounds like at that
point you should just make a fullscreen app.
