Core Animation: performing a two-step animation

  • Subject: Core Animation: performing a two-step animation

I'm new to Core Animation, so forgive me if I've missed something really obvious.

I want to perform a 2-step animation of a layer's -transform, so it appears to expand then shrink back to end up slightly larger than it started out. I can easily do a 1-step animation by using a scaling transform, but setting it twice doesn't achieve the effect I want:

myLayer.transform = CATransform3DMakeScale( 1.5, 1.5, 1.0 );
myLayer.transform = CATransform3DMakeScale( 1.1, 1.1, 1.0 );

Do I need to use a keyframe animation?
