It might be the wrong way to set the orientation manually?

Try to use "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" and return "NO" for "interfaceOrientation" not being "UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft" or "UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight".

This way you have less code and it does not depend on any display size.

It is working in my apps.
