setLineWidth: in NSBezierPath no effect in PDF Document?

Not sure if I'm missing something but when creating ink PDF annotations in a document, it seems that no matter what I set the line width to with setLineWidth:, the line width of the ink annotation always appears as being 1.0.
Anybody knows if specifying a thicker line in an NSBezierPath would have any effect in a PDFAnnotationInk?
