 Depends on what you mean by "everyone" ... ?

 QTMovieView and NSMovieView and the likes have built-in controllers that you can just use out of the box. Many places use that, however they look kinda 10.4-ish. If you want some of the more modern looks (either like Spotlight has it, or QuickTime Player X), you'll likely have to roll your own.
