Hi Apparao,
does the tableview use a custom cell? If so, i suggest you look into overriding - (int)hitTestForEvent:(NSEvent *)event inRect:(NSRect)cellFrame ofView:(NSView *)controlView
Don't know if that will solve your particular issue but it's worth a try.
