Help with view constraints

  • Subject: Help with view constraints

(first send attempt failed)

The situation: I have a static text field at the top of a window whose height needs to vary depending on its contents, and the window and other controls need to resize/move to accommodate. This seems like the kind of thing Lion's new view constraints system would be good for, but I can't figure it out.

I think there are basically two questions:
- What is the simplest way to adjust the text field's height to fit its content?
- How do (or can) I set up constraints so that the window and other controls will accommodate that change?
