This implies that you have set the title (name) to "missing value".
Under what circumstances could such failure take place? I've been mass-processing iTunes tracks by changing their names via scripting for years, and I've *never* seen a failure. Perhaps it would help if you showed more about your code. In particular I'm feeling somewhat suspicious about where you're getting the value of newSongTitle from, but that's just a guess - as it would have to be, given that you're not providing any specific information about what you're doing. m.
