Indeed. It is some test app, with which I am trying to learn Lion documents (and which app very likely has several bugs).
But I just replaced "some other editor" with Xcode, and again the same behaviour: I had to Force Quit TextEdit.
So: where is the bug? In Xcode, in TextEdit or in Lion?
