Hi All,
I am transferring audio files to iPod, iPad using iTunes programatically.
We have noticed that iTunes does not transfer the file\track\book to the device (iPad / iPod), even if size of the data to transfer is less than the available free space of the device.
for ex. The free space available on device is 235077632 bytes while size of data to be transferred is 127047109 bytes, but iTunes gives the pop up that "There is not enough space on device to transfer all the requested files…" when transfer is initiated.
Is there a threshold\margin free space of fixed size (bytes) per device (iPod, iPad) that is kept free on the device.
Does that threshold\margin vary as a percentage of the total device capacity or with device type.
Basically, when programmatically transferring an audiobook to iPad/iPod, we want to be sure that there is enough free space available on the device before initiating the transfer.
It will be great if anybody could help on this.
Thanks & regards,
Payal.
