Don't get me wrong, I think the sandbox is a good idea in the long run, but at the moment, it seems to be incomplete at best.
For me, I am running into an issue where I need access to ipc-sysv-shm. Apparently this is restricted. There is no entitlement to allow it. There is no documentation indicating that these functions are denied by default. While it would be nice to put this app in the App Store, there appears to be no path to get around the Sandbox requirements when the Sandbox is still so poorly defined.
Has anyone else run into problems with the ipc-sysv-shm restrictions? How did you work around them if you did? I haven't been able to find anything on the web about this restriction, so it may well be a fringe case, so while I am frustrated, I do understand that I may be the only one fighting this particular issue.
Dru ( working on something PostgreSQL related and as such largely wedded to a pre-existing memory model ).
