I have looked at a number of FSSpec and FSRef but have had no success.
If anyone has done this successfully I would sure like to hear about it.
There are several ways to do it, but as this is the Cocoa list, I'll point you to NSFileManager's setAttributes:ofItemAtPath:error: which documents type and creator codes among the settable attributes.
