Screensaver via App Store?

  • Subject: Screensaver via App Store?

Can someone enlighten me whether / how it would be possible to distribute a screensaver via the Mac App Store?

What I would like to provide via AppStore is a "real" screensaver, i.e., one that lives in ~/Library/Screen Savers/ .
I suppose, I would need to write a little application, the only purpose of which is to copy the screensaver bundle to ~/Library/Screen Savers/.
Is that correct? is that the easiest way?
Do you think, Apple might allow such an app into the AppStore?
If so, what would be the easiest way to write such a "copy-cat" app?

Also, I am a bit concerned about sandboxing.
Could that be a problem? (once it's enforced)

Many thanks in advance for all kinds of insights, suggestions, pointers, etc.

Best regards,
Gabriel.
