How to use NSArchiver with ARC?

  • Subject: How to use NSArchiver with ARC?
  • From: "Gerriet M. Denkmann" <email@hidden>

- (void)encodeWithCoder:(NSCoder *)coder
{
	if ( [coder allowsKeyedCoding] )
	{
		[ coder encodeObject: self.name forKey: @"Name" ];
	}
	else
	{
		[ coder encodeObject: self.name ]; <------- ARC does complain
	}
}

So: what to do to make ARC happy?

Same problem with initWithCoder:.

Kind regards,

Gerriet.

P.S. "Just use keyed coding" it NOT a good answer, as this is rather buggy.
(Yes, bug filed, was returned as Duplicate)
