you didn't perchance, in your iPad nib, assuming you are using a nib, accidentally uncheck the 'allows zooming' checkbox did you? Were it me I would also search my code for 'zooming' incase I'd turned it off programatically, probably whilst drunk coding.

If neither of those things, I have no ideas, it should work.
