I dunno, this is sure a weird one.
I've created a test project to reproduce this, but for a simple case of a floating panel hosting the NSOpenPanel as a sheet, it works just fine. In my app, it does not work, yet there doesn't seem to be anything special about my app's panel. Clearly there must be *something* so I'll keep digging...
