This is not a productive thread. You are wasting your own and everyone else's time. Slinging one-liners here isn't going to change Apple's mind.
If you feel like you have a compelling argument for abandoning autosavesInPlace, write up a bug and/or compose a well-thought-out blog post. You may be very correct. But this back-and-forth is useless.
