Is this an appropriate use of NSSheets?

Hi all, I’ve been lurking for some time, but I finally want to ask a question.. I have a cocoa app underway and I'm thinking about how to get people to enter and/or change textFields.

The main window is an NSTableView, and there are subordinate tables, from which people may add/choose selections.

I was thinking that for both adding a new record, or selecting from a set, an NSSheet could work quite nicely.

But I don't know if this is an appropriate use off NSSheet it looks like they are more commonly used as alerts, and of course, whether I will run into issues with Apple.

Finally, are there better ways to do this? Thanks.
