unapprehended about block in code

  • Subject: unapprehended about block in code

- (void)dismissAnimated:(BOOL)animated completion:(void(^)(BOOL finished))completion
{
	void(^completionBlock)(BOOL) = ^(BOOL finished){
		[self somefunction];

		if(completion)
		{
			completion(finished);
		}
	};
…………
………...
}

I want to know what type of “completion",is it boolean or block? Why use “if” to judge “completion"? And what is the result of code”completion(finished)”.
