At runtime I do:
// 10.8.x or earlier needsSpecialTreatment
BOOL needsSpecialTreatment = floor(NSFoundationVersionNumber) <=
NSFoundationVersionNumber10_8;
But how to do it at compile time?
Like:
#if BEFORE_10_10 <-- what to write here?
NSString *infoPlistKey = kSMInfoKeyPrivilegedExecutables;
#else
NSString *infoPlistKey = @"SMPrivilegedExecutables";
#endif

Hi !
< AvailabilityMacros.h > has lots of useful macros for such
situations, and is well self-documented, so check it out (for me its
at /usr/local/AvailabilityMacros.h).
For my similar situations, I use the form.....
#if MAC_OS_X_VERSION_MIN_REQUIRED >= MAC_OS_X_VERSION_10_5
// newer stuff
#else
// older stuff
#endif
