Job Summary
Join the Finder team to work on next generations of the Finder file browser, developing features that millions of Mac users will use every day.
Key Qualifications
• Required Experience:
• 3+ years experience developing shrink-wrap software
• Excellent software design, development and debugging skills
• Fluency in Obj-C and C++,
• Experience designing and coding user interfaces
• Knowledge of Core Graphics and AppKit
• Knowledge of tools such as Xcode, clang, lldb, Instruments
• Knowledge of file system operations, multi-threading, coding for performance
• Desired Experience:
• Experience with Obj-C++ and C++11
• Core Animation and Layer Backed Views, STL, Boost
Description
You will be focusing not only on designing and writing code but also in defining and refining consistent, clean user interfaces that are clear, intuitive and a pleasure to use. You will be producing excellent reliable code, you will spend considerable amounts of time on tuning the performance and responsiveness of the user interfaces you build. Outside of the Finder team, you will be working closely with teams throughout the Mac OS X Engineering organization, from file systems and networking to Mac OS X frameworks such as AppKit and Core Animation all the way to human interface design.
