Window Controller 'Presentation' in IB

  • Subject: Window Controller 'Presentation' in IB

Looking at the storyboard for the OSX project I’m currently working on (a non-document, currently single window app), the one window controller has two pieces of information in the attributes inspector panel. One is ‘Is Initial Controller’, I know what that one does. Under that is an entry named ‘Presentation’ which has the choices ‘Single’ and ‘Multiple’. What does it mean? I’ve looked at the docs for NSWindow, NSWindowController, NSViewController, searched the words ‘single’ and ‘multiple’ and I’m still none-the-wiser. Changing it makes no visual difference to the app and unfortunately a slow mouse-over the entry doesn’t give me a tooltip.

Can someone point me to the correct piece of documentation please, I’m afraid my OSX-app-fu is still incredibly weak.
