Well, if this is a non-sandboxed Mac app, anything is *possible*.

and some of that work will be paid back in the future as technical debt. Novel schemes are way more prone to bugs and breakage.
Leonardo, you are getting good advice here from John dangerwillrobinsondanger. In my case, when I got a reply message from the Apple engineer saying that this was not possible, I said “OK” and moved on to something else. It’s time to step back and say, “Does my app *really* need this feature?"
