How to avoid exceptions when decoding incomprehensible archives

Hello,

is there a way to stop NSKeyedArchiver from bombing out with an exception, crashing the app along with it, when it tries to decode an archive that it deems incomprehensible?
From time to time we get support requests about crashes that originate
basically in damaged archives (binary encoded). It would be much nicer if there
would be a graceful way of handling this. Is an exception handler the only way
to do that?
Regards
Markus
