Is it wrong to create relationships in -createDestinationInstancesForSourceInstance:…?

Is it wrong to create relationships in -createDestinationInstancesForSourceInstance:…? In some cases, doing so is straightforward, but in others I need to wait until -createRelationshipsForDestinationInstance:…. I'm just wondering if it's wrong to create relationships in the first phase.
