I don’t know, actually; it doesn’t look like they replaced it with any newer iOS-compatible sample.  :(

Well, what _is_ the problem, exactly? You’ve described steps you plan to take, but I didn’t read anything that implies that you actually tried them, or ran any code, so how do you know whether it works or not?
