I guess this has gone (I also can no longer find it) in favor of using
both Auto-Layout and Base Internationalization, where you can view the
NIB layouts as if they would show up in the running app, switching
between localizations and even use a rather funny feature which doubles
the text content of your base language in order to check if text objects
would overflow and/or clip content.
But I guess, when you're not yet on Base Internationalization, the now
built-in Interface Builder in Xcode 6.1 is rather useless for testing NIBs.
Just my 2 cents.
