From the app store guidelines, 2.26. My app does allow the user to set this in the preferences pane. Or is it the status area aspect you think will get me rejected?
I guess all I can do is submit it and see what happens.
Apps that are set to auto-launch or to have other code automatically run at startup or login without user consent will be rejected
