Hi,
Can you open the dictionary in Scripteditor?
Is the application launched when you run sdef or open the dictionary in Scripteditor?

Try Xcode or TextWrangler with soft wrap switched on in the preferences. Or Sdef Editor, ignore the warnings and save as….
