Found it!
The problem was in the tree controller properties, I must have missed a section - it works now.
I must say the SourceView is the best written Sample code I’ve seen for ages, it has everything you need to make it work in a real-ife situation, it’s easy to adapt and the author resisted the urge to add everything but the kitchen sink, thus hiding the part of the sample that is shows how to use the feature.
Thanks a million for this, it saved me oodles of time.
